About the Brand
Lavazza is an Italian coffee company founded in 1895 by Luigi Lavazza, who opened his first grocery shop in Turin. His travels to Brazil sparked the idea of blending coffees from different origins — a technique that became the brand’s defining characteristic. Still family-run after more than a century, the Lavazza Group operates six manufacturing plants and sells in over 140 countries. Its portfolio includes Carte Noire, Merrild and Kicking Horse Coffee.
The UK shop at lavazza.co.uk covers the full home-brewing range. A Modo Mio capsules and pods start from £4.50, joined by whole beans, ground coffee and instant blends. Coffee machines begin at £89, spanning compact pod makers through to bean-to-cup models. Accessories — espresso cups, mugs, milk frothers — complete the line-up. Unlike supermarket coffee brands, Lavazza sells direct and bundles machines with capsule starter packs, which we’ve found typically undercut buying items individually.
The My Way subscription service lets regular drinkers set up recurring deliveries. Capsule subscriptions require a minimum of 12 boxes, while machine-and-capsule bundles need between six and nine orders depending on the model. Delivery is included on every subscription order, and frequency can be adjusted. A cancellation fee applies if the minimum isn’t met, so we’d recommend committing only if the schedule genuinely fits your consumption. One-off orders over £50 qualify for free standard delivery; below that, a £3.80 charge applies.
Between the bundle promotions, active discount codes and subscription savings on this page, there are several ways to trim your spend on your next coffee order.
How to use
Shopping Guide
Which Lavazza capsule system should I go for? Lavazza’s main home capsule format is A Modo Mio, with machines from £89 and pods from £4.50. They also produce Espresso Point capsules aimed at commercial and office settings. For most households, A Modo Mio is the practical choice — the My Way subscription is built around it, and bundle deals on this page tend to feature it. We’d check machine compatibility before committing if you already own equipment from another brand.
Is the My Way subscription worth setting up? That depends on how much you drink. The capsule subscription requires 12 boxes minimum, and the saving comes from a per-unit discount plus free delivery on every order. A household going through two boxes a month would clear the minimum in six months. The catch is the cancellation fee — if you’re unsure about the right frequency, we’d suggest trialling a few one-off orders first to gauge your actual usage.
When’s the best time to buy from Lavazza? Black Friday and the January sales bring the deepest markdowns — up to 50% off selected ranges in past years. Mid-year offers tend to focus on bundles rather than straight discounts, pairing machines with capsule starter packs at a combined price below buying separately. We’d recommend signing up to the Lavazza newsletter for early notice; popular bundles sell out quickly once the main sale period begins.
Can I use a discount code alongside other Lavazza offers? Codes don’t stack with each other — one per order is the rule. But automatic promotions like free delivery over £50 or percentage-off bundles typically run alongside a code. Using 2ABCART5 for 15% off combined with free shipping on a £50+ basket is a realistic combination. Subscription pricing is separate, and codes can’t be applied to recurring orders — compare the subscription discount against any active code to find the better deal for your basket.
